Second piece this year

With this project we had to create our own type of gem. So with my piece I constructed a brass structure, then set enameled pieces in there of the openings. This way you can see a different color on the inside. One of the pictures was wile I was working and the other is it finished.

First project of the semester

This would be the first project of the semester. I am excited to be starting my senior year here at Uarts, and I'm excited to see the pieces I leave with.

Key rings

This project had to do with function and since one of my teachers dose not think that jewelry is a functional object, I decided to make key hooks and this it some of the process and the finished product. I really hope to at some point sell this piece because of the how much it cost me to make it.

Good day

The last few weeks have been terrible, and I lost a lot of studio time because of sad uncontrollable circumstances. When I got back this week it was difficult getting my brain to kick back on. But today I started working on our beauty project. Witch I know sounds easy, but if you really thing about it, making a project that represent beauty for you personally is difficult. As I tried to come up with an idea I remembered a rendering I had done last semester of a beautiful and elegant necklace, that incorporates my favorite thing ( tube setting). So this morning I started the piece. I was concerned at first but after a few hours of work the basics construction is finished,and Guess what....... I LOVE IT! The way it hangs makes it a great wall piece also! And on top of that my teachers though it was great and didn't have one bad thing to say about it. So in all after that my day was so much brighter. I can't wait to get pictures of the piece and I will post them!

Tension set

These are not the best pictures, but this is my first attempt at tension setting and isn't half bad ( except you can spin the stone, witch is kinda fun) I will be making more.
